Amelia's Story

29 living in the Middle East, celebrating my 8th year living abroad, just found the love of my life. It struck. I started feeling poorly, then came the words. I moved back to where my sisters were living in Wales and I was told my cancer was going to get the better of me in a matter of a few months as it has spread to a number of places, omentum, bowel, peritoneum, ovaries and I was full of ascites.

I'm now 10 months in and appointments are still positive each time with the help and support of everyone around me including my medical team; I have met my baby niece (now 5 months old), got a dog, got married, moved house, travelled, just started a business with my husband and continued to do what I do best and 'live my best life'. All these things I was told I couldn't or shouldn't do but here I am doing them and to have been given the chance for that, I'll be eternally grateful.
