I thrive now by promoting body acceptance. Loving your scars and yourself. I started my Instagram account, @ChickvsCancer to show that your body during and after cancer is just as beautiful as before. I embrace my scars and my new form. Cancer almost took my life, but it did not take my ability to love myself.

Cat's Story

My name is Cat and I’m a breast cancer survivor. I was diagnosed at the age of 33 with Stage 2B invasive ductile carcinoma and in situ breast cancer. At the time, I was a single mother, in school full time and worked full time. I was terrified and felt incredibly overwhelmed. I had a bilateral mastectomy and chemotherapy in 2018. My life was (and is) forever changed.
