During this difficult time, we want you to know that we've still got you and will continue to connect you with others who get it too. By doing so, we hope that we can lessen the feelings of isolation that many of you must be feeling at this time.

Are you finding it hard to work out how to navigate life now you've been diagnosed with cancer?

We know that being diagnosed with cancer in your 20s or 30s is hard enough, let alone in lockdown and with the fears of Covid 19 looming. That's why we wanted to create a safe space to make you feel less alone. You'll get a chance to meet others who 'get it' and hear from a young adult who has been through it too. We want to empower you by passing the baton back to you and equip you with tools to make being diagnosed with cancer that little bit easier.

Log onto Zoom with our Champion Ben, for our very first 'What I Wish I'd Known - Just Diagnosed' event. For this meet up we will be talking about navigating life after you've received your diagnosis and Ben will be talking about his experience along with insight and tips that can help you.

As each cancer experience is different, some of the things you may hear during this event you may want to bank for later. This event mostly aims to act as a reminder to make sure that you are at the centre of your care and empower you to ask the right questions when talking with your oncology team, as well as connecting you with with others who are in the same boat.

Ben was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma at the age of 19 and is now over 2 years post treatment. He is one of our Manchester Champions and has attended a number of events and has also taking part in our online Renew exercise programme.

Not used Zoom before? No problem, you can download the app for free onto your phone or just search for 'Zoom' on your computer and click Join Meeting and add the ID we send you on your laptop. You can also check out this handy guide to using Zoom via this link.
