Whilst this time is challenging for us all, there are still endless ways you can help Trekstock through this uncertainty so we can continue delivering our vital services that support young adults living through and beyond cancer.

So, if your challenge event has been postponed but you’re still motivated to fundraise or if you just want to help us raise some vital funds for young adults but don’t know where to begin, fear not! Our team have been busy finding creative ways you can support Trekstock from the comfort of your own home. And if you can't donate financially right now, we've got some ideas of ways you can support us at no extra cost to you.

We are so grateful for all your support and can’t wait to see what creative fundraising ideas you come up with.

1. Do Some Spring Cleaning: It is officially the start of Spring so there is no better time to have a cleanout. Have you been meaning to declutter your clothes or rearrange your wardrobe? Cleaning is about more than just a tidy house, it is proven to reduce your stress, improve your mood and get you active without realising it. So why not take this time to donate unworn clothes to @Thrift+ (put them on a hot wash first), sell your old DVD collections on eBay, and transform your home into a relaxing haven. Did you know eBay even has a dedicated section of their website called eBay for Charity making it even easier to donate a percentage of your sale to Trekstock?

2. Join the 34 Club: Every day 34 young adults will hear the words ‘You have cancer’. During these unprecedented times this fact has not changed. We want you to help us support those young adults during this time of uncertainty. By signing up to our Regular Giving scheme your donation can ensure we continue to provide vital free support and services to those in need. Become a member of the 34 Cub today, and help us change lives.

3. Share the Lobster Love: 'Life is tough honey but so are you'. Remind yourself of this mantra every time you look in the mirror by purchasing our exclusive ChariTee now on sale at Never Fully Dressed. With £5 from each tee going straight to Trekstock, this top will be sure to have you feeling fabulous and bring a smile to everyone's face on your next Zoom call or Google hangout. And if you want to secretly wear your PJ bottoms with it when working from home, we won't tell!

4. Wear your Heart on your Sleeve If buying one item of clothing to support Trekstock is not enough for you (and we don't blame you if it isn't) then you can also treat yourself to this gorgeous tee from Whistles. Featuring a unique design from illustrators Liv & Dom Cave Sutherland, £5 from each sale goes to Trekstock. Plus, right now, it's only half-price.

5. Smile While you Shop: With households likely to be doing more online shopping than ever, why not use your next takeaway or Amazon delivery to give back to charity free of charge? Did you know there are many online platforms that raise funds while you shop, meaning you can support Trekstock with every purchase at no extra cost to you? By using Amazon Smile instead of using the usual Amazon website, you can buy the same products at the same prices and Amazon will donate 0.5% of the net purchase price (excluding VAT, returns and shipping fees) of eligible purchases to the charitable organisation of your choice, i.e. Trekstock! Other sites such as Easy Fundraising and Give As You Live enable you to purchase items online from many of your favourite shops and will ensure a percentage of everything you buy is donated to Trekstock at no extra charge to you. So whatever you're buying online, please use Easy Fundraising, Amazon Smile, or Give As You Live to raise funds for Trekstock while you shop.

6. Give Instead of Gift: Have you got a birthday coming up? We know birthday plans may be limited right now but why not ask you family and friends to celebrate with you by supporting Trekstock. Creating a Facebook Birthday Fundraiser or a ‘celebration’ fundraiser on JustGiving is one of the most powerful methods of community fundraising. We would love to celebrate and share your birthday with our network, so let us know when yours is.

7. Contribute the Coppers from your Daily Cappuccino:  As we all adapt to new routines we have all found ourselves spending less on our daily commute, morning coffee purchase and sadly missing that cheeky chocolate bar on a Friday afternoon. While you’re no longer buying your regular Costa Cappuccino did you know you’re saving £49 a month!? Why not contribute the coppers from your daily coffee to Trekstock and you’re still on to a ‘grande’  saving - wink wink.

8. Share your Skills: Do you have expert knowledge and the time to share it? Have you got a specialist interest in Ancient History, fancy yourself as the next Van Gogh or have a passion for drumming? Why not enrich someone else's day by offering to support their studies or help them learn a new skill by leading an online lesson in exchange for a donation to Trekstock? Release your inner teacher and put your experience to good use by offering lessons via Zoom, Skype or Facetime.

9. Dine-in and Donate: Don't let self-isolating stop you from socialising with your loved ones over your regular pizza and a glass of bubbles on a Friday. Invite friends and family to share a meal with you at home over video call and create your own virtual Dinner Party. You can each dish up your favourite home cooked-meal, and donate the price of a restaurant meal to Trekstock here. Simple!

10. Challenge Accepted! Make 2020 the year you take on an at-home challenge for Trekstock.

Join Keep Calm and Keep Moving: Trekstock's 34 day virtual challenge starting on the 27th of April. Commit to moving your body for 34 days to help raise vital funds for 34 young adults diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK.

If 34 days seems a bit daunting right now, why not join the UK's 2.6 challenge, in the place of the 2020 London Marathon. From Sunday 26 April onwards, take on a challenge of your choosing based around the numbers
2.6 or 26, and fundraise or donate to support the Big Night In. Choose your #TwoPointSixChallenge, head to the 2.6 challenge website, select the ‘donate or fundraise’ button, select Trekstock, and then complete your challenge.

11. Sharing is Caring: Please follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, and like, comment and share our posts. This will help more young adults living with and beyond cancer find out about us and the support that we can offer them at this crucial time.

We would be so grateful for all your support. Thank you, Team Trekstock
