Our NHS is stretched. It's impossible for them to offer a completely holistic approach to cancer care. Lifting the Lid is an opportunity for young people diagnosed with cancer to explore the areas where they need more information in a forum which is specifically designed for them. Hosted at the ace Samsung KX, these events are about as far from a clinical setting as you can get but you can bet your a$$ the info you get is just as reliable as if you'd got it from your doc.
There are so many inequalities when it comes to cancer. These inequalities affect the way people experience the diagnosis itself, treatment and post-treatment support, affecting everything from attendance at GP’s surgeries, access to diagnostics, drugs and, ultimately, survival rates.
