What cancer were you diagnosed with?

Hodgkin's Lymphoma

What age were you diagnosed?

What has helped you to thrive?

The support I have had from my partner, friends and family! I have never had to rely on other people as much as I have through my diagnosis and it's taught me that when I need to ask for help, there is always someone willing to be there for me. I have also got a puppy called Poppy (my parents got her after I was diagnosed as refractory) and she gets me out of bed every day and I take her on walks when I am able.

I honestly think she's made such a massive difference to my life and mental health! I have also had incredible support from Clicsargent and will always be grateful for them getting in touch when I was initially diagnosed and alleviating some of the worries that I had. They also helped me connect with other young people with cancer and from this, I have made a few good friends!

Charlotte's Story

I was diagnosed, with stage 4B classical Hodgkin's Lymphoma on 01/01/2019 after a few months of testing. The cancer was very advanced and it had caused fluid to build up around my heart which I had to have drained.  After 12 rounds of ABVD I was diagnosed with refractory Hodgkin's Lymphoma and unfortunately, I am still in active treatment and am now on my fifth treatment regime as the first four have failed.
