What has helped you to thrive?

I think what has helped me thrive since my diagnosis is my children first of all as they are my biggest strength along with my family and friends as well. But also the online community has been a massive support system, my breast cancer sisters keep me going in the darkest of moments.

Cristina's Story

I was pregnant with my second child when I felt a lump in my left breast. I went straight away to my GP and I was told it was probably a blocked milk duct and given a course of antibiotics. This decision was taken considering that I am young, with no family history of breast cancer and I was pregnant. Two weeks later I was back at the GP, the lump was even bigger. I was referred to the breast clinic and within a week I was told I have breast cancer. The day after I had to deliver my baby and start treatment.
