What cancer were you diagnosed with?

What age were you diagnosed?

What has helped you to thrive?

The thing that has helped me thrive most is the support I’ve received from family and friends and also a few support groups on Facebook specifically for endometrial cancer. It can be quite lonely at times but these groups have helped a lot!

Megan's Story

I was diagnosed in 2017 with endometrial complex hyperplasia (age 22). Had that treated with the Mirena coil and got the all clear to try for a baby in October 2018. 3 months later I ask for an ultrasound as I hadn’t bled at all. Initially was refused but finally got one in March this year. That showed my womb lining was very thick again and cystic. I was fast tracked to gynaecology and had a hysteroscopy and biopsy in April. Results showed complex hyperplasia was back but now Atypical (pre cancer), plus a patch that looked like a grade 1 carcinoma.

They’d only know 100% if they did a hysterectomy but I refused so now on fertility saving treatment and under oncology. Due to have another hysteroscopy and biopsy in August to see if the hormone treatment has worked. I have the mirena back in and also taking Provera.
