Want to try something new and exciting this summer? We've teamed up with Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust for you to experience a trip with a difference, sailing around the Isle of Wight.

This is a 4 day trip, with 3 nights on the boat. We've currently got 2 spaces available, so sign up for your FREE space today for a taste of sailing with other young adults who are living through and beyond cancer!

You don’t need any sailing experience for these fun trips; you can get as hands-on as you want. Take the helm, learn about navigation, raise the sails. But it’s as much about the crew you are with – other young people who've had cancer – who you would share BBQs, ice cream, and boat-to-boat water fights with!

Your crewmates would be around your age, it's free, and all travel is arranged for you. Professional skippers, volunteers and medics are onboard to look after you and show you the ropes.

  • You need to be between the age of 18-26 years
  • You've not been on a trip with EMCT before, as this is a first-time sailing trip
  • Have finished treatment
  • Be 12 months post bone marrow/stem cell transplant

Meet To Expect:

  • The chance to meet others who just 'get it'
  • Take in the sea air, learn some new skills and enjoy meeting other young people in recovery from cancer
  • The boats are fully accessible, check out this 360 video of one of the boats here
  • Transport to the Isle of Wight can be organised for you by Ellen MacArthur, just let us know
  • Food will be provided during the trip and dietary requirements will be catered for
  • For more information about the sailing trip just click here

Unfortunately, due to restrictions for this trip the maximum age limited is 26 years old.

Contact [email protected] for more details and the medical form will be sent to you.

"It was nice to have a laugh and chat with others who know what it's like going through cancer. It felt more like meeting up for lunch with friends - warm, fun and supportive."
"The fun and casual atmosphere made it really easy to socialise with others."
"It was the first time I was really able to have a chat with other people who understood some of the things I was going through."
