We know just how important it is for you to meet and connect with others. That's why our fab Champion Nicola would love to meet-up with you all for an afternoon picnic and walk around Glasgow Green. Meeting outside of M&S before heading over to the green. Don't forget to bring a blanket.

A bit nervous about coming on your own? We get it, plus ones and furry friends are *SO* welcome.

When joining us for the meet-up we ask you to follow Covid procedures by wearing a mask when travelling to the event, taking a lateral flow test min 48 hours before attending and completing our waiver form.

MEET YOUR HOST:

Nicola was diagnosed with Stage 2 cervical cancer in 2018. After finishing treatment she's now navigating early menopause and pelvic radiation disease so she knows how valuable it is to hang out with others who've had cancer, especially those who might also be experiencing these late effects from treatment.

Nicola tells us "When I was diagnosed I felt isolated from my peers. I was often the youngest person on the ward and at support groups by at least 20 years. I couldn't relate to others talking about early retirement and their grandkids. When I discovered Trekstock on Instagram a year out of treatment, it felt like everything I was feeling made sense and I had finally found my community. To be able to spend time with other young adults with the same experiences and worries was life-changing for me."

"I attended Meet & Move in Edinburgh, several meet ups, online Pilates classes and the online RENEW exercise programme. Trekstock enabled me to reclaim my sense of self as a young adult with cancer, see life beyond a cancer diagnosis and gave me hope for the future. I am really looking forward to hosting the first Glasgow and the first Scottish meet up since February 2020. It will be amazing to bring people together again to help to reduce isolation from treatment and the pandemic. I look forward to meeting you in July."
