Calling friends of Uncommon!

Join the Uncommon team and take on 5 of the Lake District's toughest peaks, including summitting Scafell Pike - England's highest mountain - all in the name of supporting Trekstock. Trekstock is a national charity and the only of its kind in the UK to provide tailored wellbeing support to those in their 20s or 30s living with and beyond a cancer diagnosis. Your fundraising will help us to provide evidence-based programmes and face-to-face events to more of the 14,600 young people diagnosed with cancer in their 20s or 30s in the UK every year.

Cost to Trek: £299pp

Fundraising target: Min £100

MORE INFORMATION

Is this challenge for me?

The Lakes 5 Peaks challenge is graded as tough - trekking 18km in one day and climbing over 1400m is certainly no walk in the park! This is the perfect challenge for participants who are of an adventurous spirit and an open mind and who wish to push themselves in a wild and remote region of one of the UK's most iconic landscapes. On your Lakes 5 Peaks Challenge you will be:

  • Trekking for around 10 hours in a single day
  • Covering 14 miles (22km) of mountainous terrain
  • Ascend more 1500m in a single day. That’s more ascent than Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest mountain!
  • Summiting 5 of the highest hills in the Lake District, Scafell Pike (978m) Great End (910m) Ill Crag (935m) Allen Crags (785m) and Rossett Pike (651m)
