Top Tips...

Spread the word on social media

Social media is a great tool to promote your event, keep supporters up to date and share news on your fundraising. It's fast and free and can increase your fundraising total by engaging with all your friends and family about the great fundraising you're doing.

  • Post on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook and tell all your friends and family what you're doing and why - don't forget to tag in @Trekstock #Trekstock
  • Post a link to your online fundraising page.
  • Update friends and family with milestones, pictures and let them know how much work you're putting into your fundraising. Letting people know how close you are to your target will encourage your friends to donate and help you reach your final goal.
  • Follow businesses and important people in your community - it could be a great introduction and opportunity for fundraising and donations.

Match Funding

Many organisations offer match funding as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. Ask your employer whether they run a match funding scheme, you could claim a considerable amount against you fundraising.

"I actively fundraise for Trekstock because of the excellent support they provide to young adults with cancer. My only regret is that I wish they were around thirty years ago when I had cancer and support was non-existent." Alex Gray
