Lucy's Story

I was diagnosed on the 28th October after being hospitalised earlier in the month for have a convulsion, as I was struggling to breathe due to the pressure of the tumour on my lungs and a very high temperature. I started chemotherapy the following week as it was very aggressive and I was in a lot of discomfort.

I finished chemo on the 18th of February, I haven’t had news that I am in remission yet but I am hoping my next scan will be clear. I worked when I could during chemo & am now back part time. I am very impatient & really want my hair, eyebrows and eyelashes to grow back as quick as possible. I have worn a wig when leaving the house for the entirety of my treatment, so with the weather getting warmer would like to not feel the need to do that for much longer. I am feeling positive but would love to talk to others who have been through similar; it’s hard to relate to my friends sometimes at the minute!
