We’re always looking for ways to show up for our community – and our ambassadors help us do just that. Jak’s our latest ambassador and we’re so proud to have him on #TeamTrekstock

Community is at the heart of everything we do. From launching support that works for you to fundraising the cash to make sure we can keep showing up for you and creating a community that gets what it's like to get cancer in your 20s or 30s, you're always on our minds. And that's why we bring on Ambassadors, people like you, who've been there, done that and got the (Merch for Good T-shirt). The latest legend to join us is Jak.

Jak was diagnosed with skin cancer when he was 21. Having spotted a suspect mole and received the news it was cancerous, Jak underwent radiotherapy and then surgery to remove the lump and lymph nodes from his groin. This first line of treatment didn't work, leading to a year of immunotherapy.

In 2022, Jak heard the news he had no evidence of disease. Now, he's working with organisations like Trekstock to raise awareness of the risks of using sunbeds, after tanning himself from the age of 16 to fit in with his mates. He's calling for more regulation around the use of sunbeds amongst under 18s.

Alongside this campaigning and shouting about melanoma and cancer in young people on TikTok, we're absolutely pumped he's joining us as an Ambassador to help us spread the word on how we support people like him, diagnosed with cancer at an early age.

His first role on #TeamTrekstock? He's heading up the community team at #TrekThisCity and we'd love for you to join him. #TeamJak will walk alongside other legends who've been through cancer treatment. They'll be stomping 10 miles across London this on 6th July 2024. You'll take on the challenge together, step by step, mile by mile.
