It was such an honour to join their Majesties The King and Queen at Buckingham Palace, to celebrate community-based initiatives raising awareness about cancer and supporting those living with cancer. Our CEO Sophie, joined members of our community Ruth, Sophie and Sean at this very special event.

It was a really wonderful eve spent chatting with peers and supporters from across the cancer community, hosted at Buckingham Palace by His Majesty The King. As Patron of Macmillan Cancer Support, His Majesty has shown incredible support to numerous individuals and organisations working in the sector, especially since announcing his own cancer diagnosis last year. His humility in sharing such personal news has been an inspiration to many and encouraged more people to recognise the signs of cancer and seek support. We had a pinch me moment, chatting to The King about Trekstock, about the work we do and how Sophie, Sean and Ruth had beensupported by us over the years, through exercise programmes such as RENEW .

There were over 400 people in the ballroom, the energy was bubbling with proud feelings of joy, accomplishment, passion for what we do, but it was also a chance to remember special people who were absent, such as our friend Kris Hallenga of Coppafeel! who died a year ago. It was a walk down memory lane bumping in to people who have been working in this space for so many years, dedicating their life to supporting those with cancer such as the unstoppable Leanne Pero with her Foundation, Maren from Coppafeel!, Ceinwen from Shine Cancer Support, Toby from the Robin Cancer Trust and more.

Thank you for a magical, memorable eve - one to remember.
