This event is open to anyone in their 20s, 30s and 40s living with or beyond cancer
Come along and get your hands dirty! This is a great opportunity to meet new people in a laid-back creative environment and get hands-on with clay at BonBon Pottery in Battersea. This is a chance to get stuck into pottery with no prior experience required - and to enjoy a welcoming, calming and creative space right in the heart of the iconic Battersea Power Station, hosted by Nat, a member of the Trekstock team.
- Discover the joy of working with clay, a wonderfully tactile and absorbing activity that draws your focus away from everyday worries and grounds you in the moment.
- Benefit from the proven therapeutic effects of physical creativity, which supports emotional wellbeing and can provide a real sense of calm and achievement
- Engage your hands and body in gentle, rhythmic motion that is easy on the joints and feels less like exercise and more like play
- Leave with something you've made yourself - wonky edges and all - as a lasting reminder of a great afternoon spent with good people
- Stick around afterwards for a chat with a wonderful group of people who understand you: make new friends and find new connections.
Feel free to bring a buddy along with you - just make sure you both book tickets.
This is a 2 hour event that will begin at 1:30 PM
Meet Callum...
‘The community that I've found in Trekstock and their community catch ups are invaluable to me. Even eight years on from my cancer diagnosis, being able to connect with other people who are also navigating the world with and beyond cancer has been so important to my recovery. Cancer as a young adult isn't the same as getting a diagnosis as a teenager or older person, but often the support available from the NHS is binary leaving people like me caught in between services. Put simply Trekstock help bridge that gap, they're a charity for people like me, in their 20s. 30s and 40s, with an experience of cancer and all their support is shaped by people who have lived experience of cancer at this age.”
