In 2016 we received the surprising news that I had cancer. It was stage 3 and doctors were hoping it would be curable although they are very reluctant to use the term "cure". I had aggressive treatment in the form of gruelling chemotherapy, a double mastectomy and full axillary node clearance and radiotherapy. As part of my treatment I was also given medication to be put into menopause. At 28 years old this took some time to get used to..

Life slowly went back to normal and I was working my way back to working full time.
Then we heard those dreaded words again - I'm sorry.

Our Story

Trekstock was founded in 2009 by Sophie Epstone after she became aware of a huge gap in tailored support services for those diagnosed with cancer in their 20s or 30s.
